Is John Edwards washed up now?
He didn't deliver. Can't see him getting past this in '08.

7. Um, he still has a career that isn't politics.
His license to practice law in NC is still good as ever.

I don't think he has to worry.

12. He has star quality
I just wish he had the opportunity to get some more experience under his belt. Obviously he can't without his Senate seat. I'd vote for him, though.

13. He is going to be taking some shots in the next few weeks
The question is going to become: "What did he bring to the table?" The answer: Um...dunno. Look, I voted for Edwards in the primary and thought he was the obvious VP pick. But we got hammered in the South and did worse with women than 2000. It will be unfair, but VP candidates who can't bring their home state onboard are troubling.

19. Yep
Not to Wednesday morning quarterback but I always thought that Edwards brought little to the ticket. He was percieved by middle America in the same way that they percieved Kerry, a "liberal" that didn't share their values and a lightweight to boot.

Clark should have been VP.

Clark would have carved far more Republicans away from Bush than Edwards as well as inoculating Kerry from the SWBLiars since his military record was unassailable. On the issues he was all progressive, but from the perception standpoint I think he would have brought much more to the table.

Anyway, it don't mean shit, its just my stinkin opinion and it doesn't change the fact that the American nightmare wich is the GWB presidency will continue.

FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

20. why was Edwards promising to count every vote while Kerry conceded?
Why was Edwards promising to count every vote, at almost exactly the same time Kerry conceded?
It makes Edwards look stupid and not plugged in, the guys obviously aren't communicating.

21. In politics i think he is
America doesn't tolerate losers. He is a person that looks like he has all the ingredients of a winner but it just doesn't translate to any broad appeal.

22. Hell no!

He did not lose this election!

It was S T O L E N !!!!!

Let's stop blaming our leaders.
Why in the hell would they Want to loose this election?
It was so important to all of them and to us.

We may feel in shock but we are not DOWN, we are not Counted Out!

Stop it, stop it!

John Edwards is brilliant and two days ago we loved him, Elizabeth and his lovely children.

We love him now.

If your father gave his all for his country by getting out on the campaign trail Every Day for 18 months and you read that people wanted to know are you washed Up,how would you feel!

I am getting more upset with these kinds of threads than with GWB.

We are the party of compasion and love, let's demonstrate it in our darkest days.

But he's still relatively young, so who knows?
