Massive sell-off of Bush shares on tradesports.com
I look at this site every day, and Kerry is now favored to win for the first time EVER.

2. Last I looked
Kerry was up to around 51-52% likelihood, even higher to win the popular vote. It's the beginning of the panic, so the numbers are very fluid now.

5. That's why the site leans so heavily Republican
traditionally, this site has been much more Republican in its predictions than actual reality.

Law-breaking thugs find their own.

6. That's why Bush has been favored there for so long.
Men favor Bush, and men likely represent 95% of the traders on that site, and gamblers like that are probably even more Bush-fans than normal males.

11. Bush now at 35. Still BIG orders on the 'ask' side.
And almost no people interested in buying in the 30's for Bush.

13. Told you! These sites are BS. People just read the news and
bid, nothing more than that. The same happened in the Dem primary. Dean was up until the last minute. Then collapsed.
What I'm saying is that this is a REACTIVE site, not useful for FORECAST...

27. You have no idea what you're looking at
Yes, it's a reactive site TODAY. Brilliant.

You're not really trying to spin that into a negative, are you? These are people who are seizing an opportunity to profit whith the odds stacked in their favor. It's a hell of a lot better giving 1/2 odds or whatever with every variable, including exit polls, in your favor with only a few hours to wait until collection, than educated guesswork at even odds a month or two out. Are you telling me you wouldn't rather bet or project a football result late in the third quarter than five days ahead of time?

I'm doing GOTV in Las Vegas and we were just given a brief break. I took advantage by checking out DU, then pressing up my Kerry bet via a friend who has an account with Tradesports. The offshore betting outfits closed early this morning.

This is surreal profit making, along with the ongoing glee of the result matching my politics and my heart and desperation.

Back to work:). Go ahead, flame us gamblers. BTW, I won with the Jets last night also. I admittedly reacted, to previous results certifying my Dolphins are incompetent this year.

18. Just go to www.tradesports.com
The pages open very slowly. Click on the 'trading screen' tab though and it takes you to a screen with the latest bid/ask/last trade.

US Newsfutures http://us.newsfutures.com/ has ‘Bush Wins’ at 41% now. Lowest until now was 47%, after the first presidential debate. Just before that it was 70%

23. Hahah. Only bid on Bush winning Ohio is $.01 for 23 contracts.
Someone is willing to gamble $.23 for a chance that Bush will win there, but that's it.

Asking price is $42.
