I just got back from voting in Farmerville, LA a small conservative town in NE LA. My wife is a recently registered first time voter. When she registered I asked here what party affiliation she put on the form and she told me Democrat. When we got to the polls this AM low and behold she was not on the voter list. I had told her to take along her voter registration card in case of "problems". The poll workers (which are mostly old ladies that can never pronounce my name)seemed confused. There was no way they were going to turn her away with a valid voter registration card. One of the poll workers who was watching the situation spoke up and said you have to let her vote because she has a valid card. Finally a voice of reason. I can't believe this happened in a town of 2500. I keep asking myself, was it an honest mistake? I don't think so.
