I raised that boy right
Just an anecdote .....

My 26 year old son called me this afternoon.

"Dad, ya gotta call Mom and talk some sense into her!" (His mother and I are long divorced but we stay in relatively close touch)

"What? Why? Is anything wrong?" He was really sounding alarmed.

"She's gonna vote for BUSH!"

"Son, there are some thing I never could talk to her about."

This is the same son who, this past summer wanted Sparkly and me to host a party for his friends (the one's who said they were gunna vote for Bush) so we coud talk some sense into them in a reasonable way.

I love that boy!

2. A party? That boy has a future as a lobbyist...
...only for good causes, of course. :)

3. Good on ya ...
And give that boy a pat on the back for me too. :toast:

My ex is a life-long Republican, and thankfully my daughter is turning out more like me, perhaps even more liberal than me, at least more activist in her approach, which is good. I had a similar talk with her about her mom, told her that I'd never had any luck talking any sense into her. My daughter then worked on her for months. While visiting last week, she gave me the vague, "Guess what ..." "What?" "Mom's voting for Kerry."

Our children will be what saves us.
