Tucker Carlson: only losers would stay 3 hours in line to vote.
Republicans are busy, they have jobs!!!

That's what this little SOB said. He seemed down though, as he repeated on Hardball that Kerry will win...

49. I met him at the convention, and he was an asshole
I passed him by, that is, right next to him. He was on his cell outside the hall.

He looked at me as he spoke. I waved and smiled as I passed by--I didn't stop.

Carlson gave an exaggerated pissed off wave back, and turned away.

What a crotch sniff.

but many repubs are going to the polls and ahem skipping ship

Some of them are even voting straight democratic ticket.

You also do not know this (don't blame you by the way) last time this happened was 1932

:-)

I want those loosers out there with me voting

My visualization:

tight khaki shorts pulled up high under his armpits, little sash saying "FASCIST HALL MONITOR", bow tie askew, hair sticking up, short-sleeve white shirt (also tightly fitting), too-long belt pulled tight with the end wrapped around and tucked in, etc.

Geez, I can almost hear the GOP shrieking already: John Kerry--The Loser President.

Newsflash for Bowtie Bastard: Those "losers" are concerned citizens who care about the future of our country. In fact, they so value American democracy that they are willing to forego "The Almighty Dollar" in order to stand in line and vote.

Take Jon Stewart's advice and go to a real journalism school, because you're starting to look "Tuckered out".

Only democrats are actually willing to take time off from work, even lose a few hour pay, in order to vote. Republicans are too busy figuring out new fraudulent accounting schemes, and methods of disenfranchising voters to get their asses down to the polls.
They figure they dont have to vote as they have been busy utilizing the on ly methods by which Republicans ever win eletions. Throwing out democratic ballots.

Nothing makes me feel so good as hearing chicken shit little conservatives like Tucker whining when the are worrying that their chickenshit little candidate is in trouble. Thanks Carlson.

Tucker should be ashamed of himself.

http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/index-old.php

please read this email to Josh Marshall:

My job is to get people to the polls and, more importantly, to keep them there. Because they’re crazily jammed. Crazily. No one expected this turnout. For me, it’s been a deeply humbling, deeply gratifying experience. At today’s early vote in the College Hill district of East Tampa -- a heavily democratic, 90% African American community — we had 879 voters wait an average of five hours to cast their vote. People were there until four hours after they closed (as long as they’re in line by 5, they can vote).

Here’s what was so moving:

We hardly lost anyone. People stood outside for an hour, in the blazing sun, then inside for another four hours as the line snaked around the library, slowly inching forward. It made Disneyland look like speed-walking. Some waited 6 hours. To cast one vote. And EVERYBODY felt that it was crucial, that their vote was important, and that they were important.

...there's more...

55. The Republicans act as if they have a lock on patriotism and remind us
constantly about those in the armed services who fought and died to secure and maintain our freedoms. Seems to me that the very least Americans can do is go out and cast their vote. If that means standing line a few hours, taking time off work to do so, it's a small sacrifice.

People will stand in line for hours for concert tickets, stores to open on the day after Thanksgiving and now even flu shots. Those who truly believe in preserving our freedoms will also stand and wait if that's what it takes to cast their votes.

Funny how it is that some of those who complained in the past about voter apathy now seem threatened when people are willing to stand in line and wait for hours just to cast their vote.

60. Considering what some Afghani women went through to exercise their
right to vote, a three hour wait in a line is a cakewalk.

I've already voted, and had to contend with considerable hassle to do that - but I'd stand in line for a lot more than three hours to vote against the corrupt Bush administration. And every time I felt tired or bored or like giving up, I would remember those women attending classes to learn to read enough to be able to vote, and enduring censure and violence and death threats.

There are certainly things worth waiting in line for, and the only "loser" is someone who denigrates people who are determined to fulfil their responsibility as American citizens to vote.
