1. maybe this is just me, but
isn't it odd to have what looks like a flaming cross in a black church?

4. And isn't that NCR's Bldg 28 behind him in the bottom photo?
Sure looks like it. The Main Street entrance, which isn't really used much. Across from it is the University of Dayton campus.

6. Thanks for the clarification. I noted that these were all from Dayton
this morning, but they all may not have been from one church.

8. I think it's beautiful
Are you saying a black church shouldn't have a cross with lights on it? I see nothing wrong with it. It's a religous symbol....that's how I see it. :hi:

10. Lighting I am sure

Trust me it is not the KKK - LOL

By the way, I thought the photos were awesome at the church.
It reminded me of the gospel song..."This little light of mind, I'm gonna let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine."

Hope is on the Way!

3. This is the image of America we need desperately.......
all around the world. A real President for ALL the people here in this country and respected around the world, instead of that bigoted, hate filled arrogant fake "cowboy" divider from his fake "Texas Whitehouse" in Crawford. God help me....I couldn't stomach 4 more years of this embarrassment and failure leading our country. :puke:

7. I don't need to see that to know he's a man of faith
Kerry has a lifetime of actions that show that he is a good and honorable man.

What's Bush's lifetime acheivements? Screwing poor people and taxpayers to make money for himself?

11. Precisely. I love this guy. He is a good man, in the truest, most
authentic sense. For me, these pics reinforce that belief.

14. The other thing that was cool was Kerry mentioned his
bill for youth that is now funded at $60 something M and has helped 25k inner city youths. Why oh why didn't we hear about this on the campaign trail. Guess he can't enumerate every bill he's gotten passed, but his record should have been more front and center.

15. Great pix!
It seems to me that John Kerry is a good man and hence his actions when he returned from Viet Nam. It's too bad it has been swung the other way because what he did was the moral and right thing to do back then.

16. A good man
Funny, but Bush always looks as though he's in pain when he's photgraphed "praying." (Reagan did, too.) Here's Kerry following the service like a normal parishioner--and looking normal doing it, as if it's something he does routinely.

Can't wait for Wednesday.

17. great stuff. thanks for posting
I also listened to the speech he gave at the baptist church, which someone was kind enough to post on another thread. It was very respectful and sincere, with only a smidgeon of his stump speech rhetoric.

Although my politics differ greatly from Kerry's--Kucinich is much more closely aligned with my beliefs--as a lifelong Democrat, I was willing to withhold judgment and get behind my party's nominee. I had also become a card-carrying member of the ABBA party (Anybody But Bush Again). After following Kerry's camapaign here on DU and in the mainstream and alternative press, my respect for him has grown immeasurably. I am no longer just voting against Bush. I think Kerry will be a fair and just leader and that he has my interests at heart more than any Republican that has served during my lifetime.

I have faith that he will get us out of Iraq without having to institute the draft and will surround himself with a smart, thoughtful, and insightful administration that will do its utmost to dial down the growing animosities around the world and keep us as safe as possible here at home. Maybe Richard Clarke would even consider coming back in an even greater capacity than counterterrorism expert?

When I listen to Kerry's speeches, it doesn't all sound like bullshit, like you hear from ANY candidate during campaigns. Once the Dems have regained control of the Senate and the House in a couple of years, I believe Kerry WILL restate Head Start like he said during his speech this morning. I think he is truly committed to fixing the healthcare crisis in the U.S. And I think his background and upbringing, despite being a millionaire (nobody's perfect, after all), have groomed him well for this job.

In other words, this is my long-winded way of saying I have a lot of faith in Kerry to do well by We the People.

See you at the polls!

Peace,
AL

It was posted on DU at the time. Maybe somebody still can locate a copy.
