2. Sounds like a statistical tie to me! |
|
Now if * were up 6, that would be an INSURMOUNTABLE LEAD and Kerry may as well concede now.
So whaddya think, am I ready to be an anchor on CNN?

3. Why don't you wait until the poll comes out instead of falling |
|
for a posters rumor. It's coming out this hour. I hope it's right but more than likely it was posted in hopes of producing a 'let down' on DU.

How about forgetting watching the polls and helping get out the vote? Keystrokes in the virtual world do not vote - people AT the polls in the real world do. Dems are doing pretty well in GOTV but every one of you could be helping call or walk canvas or stuff literature or collate flusher lists or work as pollwatcher, etc. There's more than enough to do in actual vote work in the real world.

8. Only one time did a poll depress turnout. 1948. Give it a rest. |

I'm not talking about polls leading action. I'm talking about wasting much time watching polls instead of using the time to GOTV. I'm averaging four hours of phone time in ME and NH to get undecideds to vote Kerry compared to one hour cruising the keystrokes.

11. Newsweek Conclusion: Bush up 6 with + or - 4 = statistical dead heat |
|
Newsweek says one or the other candidate must be up by at least 9 to cover the margin of error.
Same bullshit. Bush approval rating at 47%. Nothing to see here - Move on.

13. +/- 4 would be either up 2 or up 10 for Bush |
|
though their methodology is flawed, imo, as they're oversampling republicans like Gallup has been.

if you re-weigh it to the auctual percentage of registered voters nationwide which is a 3-4 % democratic advantage Kerry leads by 1-2%
