Repubs now calling Bunnings opponent gay??.....f......pathetic
Manhood questioned in Kentucky U.S. Senate campaign

By John Cheves

HERALD-LEADER FRANKFORT BUREAU

OWENSBORO - A top state Republican called Demo-cratic U.S. Senate candidate Dan Mongiardo "limp-wristed," and another GOP state legislator said she questions whether "the word 'man' applies to him" in speeches during Sen. Jim Bunning's campaign bus tour yesterday.

Both state Senate President David Williams of Burkesville and state Sen. Elizabeth Tori of Radcliff denied they intended to raise questions about Mongiardo's sexual orientation -- though Tori later said that if any listeners thought she was referring to his sexuality, "so be it."

.....

In an interview after the Owensboro rally, Williams denied he used the phrase to imply that Mongiardo is gay.

"'Limp-wristed' denotes weakness. It's not a sexual slur," Williams said. "I'm not going to have them limiting my choice of vocabulary, my freedom of speech," he said, referring to Bunning's opposition.

....

At the Elizabethtown stop, Tori, the state Senate majority whip, said "I served with Dr. Dan -- let me tell you he is not a gentleman. I'm not even sure the word 'man' applies to him." The comment drew laughter and applause.

In a telephone interview last night, Tori repeated her comment and volunteered, "The remark is a little ambiguous, isn't it?"

3. Wow! The smugness,
while not surprising from a repub. is just always sickening to me.

The line at the end where she admits that she's calling him gay...WTF! Is this a second grade playground? Are they going to have a "He's a poopy-head" campaign next?

It just infuriates me.

And wrapping himself in freedom of speech? In the first amendment? "I can call him gay, and if anyone tries to protest, they're stifling freedom of speech?!?!?!" WTF is he thinking?

Wow. It's only 9:30 in the morning and already repubs. are working my blood pressure up.

5. I've said it once, and I'll say it again:
Hate is the glue tht keeps the Republican party together. Only the object of the hate changes.

8. I only hope it doesn't work.
Unfortunately, in the South, there is a social basis for such disgustingness.

9. Its what repukes do!
Hell, 4 years ago, when I trolled the Yahoo chat rooms, when ever a repuke started losing an argument, he called any and all faggots. Its their answer to all losing arguments.

10. Tori is an ugly bimbo who just parrots the party line.
Tori's husband tried for years and years to get elected to anything and everything. When that failed he ran his wife who is a total clueless dumb ass rethug who is a puppet for the GOP. At a meeting of women business owners shortly after her election (before she took office) she was asked what were her concerns in Frankfort. She said (honest to God - I couldn't make this up!) "I don't know, guess I'll have to ask my husband what is important." To say this group of women was shocked and dismayed is a mild understatement. The business owner rethugs in this group had the decency to look ashamed. Tori was pushed into office during the "Contract with America" period when fear and hatefulness was sweeping the nation and state elections.

The tactics now being employed by the Kentucky rethugs is despicable. They have pumped up the slander advertising and, like Bush, Bunning can't run on his record so them smear the opponent.
