Poll question: 2004 Presidential election, we will know the outcome when?
During this Presidential election when do you feel we will know the winner?

3. I think this year
they are going to be a lot more cautious in calling states, and since * will do well enough in the southeast (minus Florida of course!) it probably won't be until the wee hours of Nov. 3rd that Kerry clinches the electoral vote tally.

6. While being realistic about the other side and considering all scenarios.
and their desperation to cling to power...I am hopeful that there's a HUGE turnout with lots of new voters...for Kerry. I'm hopeful we'll learn after the West Coast polls close...California, Oregon and Washington are crucial electoral votes for Kerry. Kerry will win all 3 states...and the election.

I wish I could be more confident. The scum that's behind Bush/Cheney will stop at nothing to steal this election.

9. That will be the worst case scenario
If they are willing to bring this country down even further then we have been the last fours i'm not sure it wont go without an uprise of somekind. They really might be counting on something this vile to get what they want.

From their stand point can you imagine the investigation they'll be going thru once Kerry takes office? They must be shaking in their shoes.

7. GOP litigation, even if Kerry landslide
If enough states are under 1% to keep * in office if reversed, expect lawsuits in all of them, even if the Popular vote is 60-40 against.

14. Technically, the networks are not supposed to project until 8:00 PM PST
But if the three states mentioned did go to Kerry, things would be looking good at that point, and they wouldn't have to.

But then on the other hand, given all the whoring the media has done, they might deliberately jump the gun if Bush is out to any sort of early lead because of the South.

15. As soon as Kerry carries a few states he wasn't even remotely expected
to win it will be pretty clear.

We are going to win, and we are going to win hugely.

16. You'll know once Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida have been called...
Edited on Sat Oct-23-04 04:27 PM by Sean Reynolds
If Kerry wins two of those three states, he's probably going to win the election...same with Bush.

You'll know probably around 10:00 EST.

However the networks will never call it until the candidate reaches the 270 mark.

because we know who wins when the SCOTUS votes.

Before I started this poll I thought the majority would have said 1 month or more. This optimism is great!

23. KKKarl will have a breakdown in the SCOTUS the night before electors meet
The SCOTUS will rule "KKKarl, even if we give you all the states you're contesting, bush* still loses. Now let go of my leg!"

24. OH, FL, WI, NV, IA
are all going to be close enough that the losing side will contest them. I don't expect this to end until all the overseas ballots are counted, which could take a week.
