Bush is disses B.E.T., Kerry did interview, founder pissed off!!
BET: One channel left behind

Why is President Bush dissing Black Entertainment Television?

"You'd have to ask him," BET founder and CEO Bob Johnson told me yesterday. "I'm disappointed, obviously. We invited both of them to speak with us before the election. John Kerry was quick to say, 'Absolutely, yes.' The White House thus far has said, 'No, we won't talk to you.'"

Billionaire Johnson was reacting to Bush's decision not to submit to a grilling by anchor Ed Gordon on the cable network. Kerry sat for an interview that was broadcast Oct. 7.

"The Republicans are saying they're trying to reach out to African-American voters around the country. So why wouldn't he take advantage of that?" Johnson went on, noting that BET is watched in an estimated 10 million black households.

"If the President sat down with us for 30 minutes, he could make sure African-Americans know about his No Child Left Behind program, his views on same-sex marriage, his commitment to jobs and talk about all the other issues he pays lip service to. If they believe he has a good record, why wouldn't he come on?"

1. Because he's a COWARD. He cannot face tough questions from real
people; look at how pathetically he performed in the debates. He needs to appear in front of carefully screened, adoring flocks of mutant sheep, in order to portray an image (to himself and others) of support for his failed policies, lies, more lies, outrageous lies, waffling, say-one-thing-do-another pResidency.
He's a fucking chickenshit, always has been, always will be.

2. Pissed off seems an overstatement
Johnson seems to be tip-toeing around this. Just a bit hesitant about truly blasting Idiot King.

5. The Bush Empire said he could do it AFTER the election?
Well, let's make sure he has enough time!

8. And WHY should Bush bother with those people
when he and his brother are busy removing them from the voter rolls by the thousands?

Face it,
if JEB had allowed the African Americans in Florida state to vote freely
or if he had allowed what few votes that existed to be counted,
we would be re-electing President Gore,
there would not be a Democratic Underground,
and we would not have had a four-year opportunity to come to know and love the neocons and that darling Karl Rove.

9. Let's Call It Racist...Many Blacks Do
This regime has demonstrated unmittigated racism and tokenism on a level the black community hasn't seen since the "good old days" of segregation.

When the CBC was stonewalled at the White House, got the Colin/Condi dog & pony show and then Bunnypants was dragged out of hiding is a big thing in the black community...as are the fates of most of these people, economically, over the past 4 years.

The GOOP shows such contempt to blacks when it runs Uncle Toms like Alien Keyes and Larry Elder out there...goons who get far more mainstream media coverage than quality black journalists like Tavis Smiley & Ed Gordon. Then you also have the real racists, Rushbo (constantly saying Blacks are on the "plantation"), Boortz & Savage and no wonder the blacks are very intimidated by this regime and their henchmen.

I expect some very strong turnouts in many black communities; especially in the Red states...it's one of many silent storms that will unleash a week from Tuesday.

10. What an Idiot......
I wonder if they (BET) would not bow down to his long list of demands, like knowing the questions before the interview to give us all those cute lil sound bites he likes. Maybe he needed them to use small words so he could understand the questions given him...he is such an idiot!
