George H.W. Bush and Barbara Heckled As They Went To Vote
Now that's what I call enjoyment for the day....funny how the mainstream and networks did not mention the heckling...All I saw was the Quaker Oats Man and Slim Angst

Just curious.

5. Early vote
Word in Houston is that they will be in Fla. on election day telling people that their son doesn't scare them that much and that they have health insurance . . . so why is everyone whining

6. They 'reside' in TX but 'live' in ME to dodge taxes.
That way the Walker's Point complex is tax-exempt as a "Summer Home". Check my sig line to find out why "Mainers" hate the Bushes more than most summer folks.

11. Not only that
Back in the '88 election when Poppy was spoutin' off about Boston Harbor, there was a LTTE in one of the obscure backwater (and woods) rags from the former code enforcement officer (retired) of that part of Kennybunkport who claimed that due to exemption, grandfathering and the like, that compound enjoyed the luxury of being able to discharge it's septic waste directly in to the ocean.

Always wondered if a turd with the Presidential Seal every washed up along the coast.

14. They can avoid PROPERTY TAXES that way?
If so, why wouldn't it be in ME's best interest to close that loophole - if they can't vote in ME they can't stop it?!

9. They were trying to stage a rally at the polling place.
Free press. Never mind that there's supposed to be no campaigning within xx feet of a polling place. Never mind law. It was an opportunity for free press, and Poppy & Babs - well, you know.

2. Haaaaaaaaa!!!
I wonder if a BBC reporter approached to ask them, "Aren't you concerned you could find out something explosive about your candidate right before election day that would make you change your mind and wish you had voted differently?"

4. I read a short note yesterday about this, but not this informative.
All it said yesterday was that a few hecklers had forced GH and Babs to scrap plans for a news conference and jump back into their SUV.

This is pretty impressive. Thanks for the pics!

23. After Bush finished his one-term Presidency,
They had a house built on a very small lot in the 3rd or 4th most prestigious neighborhood in the city. While he was president, a suite at The Houstonian (an expensive hotel/health club) was his "official" Texas address.

I'm sure they plan a lovely family gathering in Florida for election night.
