I know Krauthammer's about as Rethug as they come, but has anyone seen mention of Edwards' remarks elsewhere? It was a dumb thing to say, and if it spreads further than the usual Rethug outlets, it could do damage.

should be able to understand that what he said is exactly what the medical scientific community has been saying. If Kerry is elected we will be able to start on the work that is needed to be done so spinal cord injuries can be reversed. I don't see the problem. If Krauthammer had been a competent physician, don't you think he would have pursued that respectable profession rather than being a mediawhore?

As far as I know CK was never an admired researcher, so he has no expertise to decide, contrary to what many admired researchers believe, that Edwards is wrong. Encouraging as many stem cell research lines as possible will have much greater likelihood of finding cures than limiting them due to ideologically based ignorance.

He should be forced to listen to at least an hour of speeches by Michael J. Fox and others who are fighting hard for this research.
