Stop smearing the United States Navy for political gain
The US Navy awarded John Kerry decorations for valorous actions in combat. If the Swiftees feel that the United States Navy is awarding Purple Hearts to undeserving veterans for undeserving actions while serving in combat zones then they need to lobby Congress for change to the requirements to receive awards. Perhaps they could also lobby for the change to be retroactive, this way they could remove decorations from veterans records. This would include John Kerry and perhaps right the wrong they feel is being done through these decorations of sailors, soldiers, airmen, and marines.

2. I'm a Navy brat
and I am really getting tired of the Chicken Hawks attacking service in the Navy during the Vietnam war as not being "really" dangerous.

My father served on an air craft carrier -- and sailors and officers died on board this ship while in service to their country. The flight deck is dangerous -- in fact working with huge planes etc -- on a moving ship is very dangerous work.

The Swift Boat liars -- are doing a dis-service to the Navy and to all Navy Vets.

We don't need the survivors of the Vietnam war to relive the horrors anymore -- the Swift Boat Liars need to be dealt with and their lies exposed. (Seeing bits and pieces of your once living buddy -- on a boat or on a jungle can mean a lifetime of nightmares).

Sue the Swift Boat Liars for Slander!

Your idea is an insult to all Navy Vets (and their family members who witnessed the massive changes in their fathers after service in Vietnam.)

6. Greetings fellow brat
Well, at least for the first 4 years of my life anyway. But I managed to live in three different states in those 4 years. And then bounce back and forth between two after that until I was 13 (dad and mom couldn't figure out which state to settle in.)

I know, I know. I'm about to burst a bloodvessel over this stuff. It goes beyond politics. Supporting the military should not be a partisan endeavor.

I thought they were "for the troops" That they would NEVER harm the memory of our fine, upstanding military.
