Mark my words, the debate will be cancelled.
If Drudge is right this time.

"WASH TIMES: U.S. security officials are investigating a recent intelligence report that a group of 25 Chechen terrorists illegally entered the United States from Mexico over summer... Members of the group, said to be wearing backpacks, secretly traveled to northern Mexico and crossed into a mountainous part of Arizona, Gertz to report in Page One Splash, newsroom sources tell DRUDGE"

Terrorists in Arizona? Bush is desperate to dodge tomorrow.

3. Think about it....
They create a terrorist threat....then they use it as a reason for the president to avoid being in the same area. I think the fact that this news broke at a RW pundit's site the night before the debate it not coincidental.

17. Ok...perhaps I was a little too skeptical...
it just seems like the Bush thing to do.

Perhaps the terrorist threat will be eliminated before the debates and Bush will try to use it to his advantage to bring up terrorism in the debate.

know? Hey Tommy, crank up the Crayola Box of Terror to Burnt Orange!

Git yer duct tape and plastic sheeting! Put out some warnings about exploding jack-o-lanterns and Candy Corn of Mass Destruction.

Wait, Bush said we're winning the war on terror. No, wait ... he said the war on terror was unwinnable. No, wait ... he said he misspoke when he said that. Wait... he's a war president. No, wait ... he wants to be your peace president.

President Kerry, can you please fix this shit? Thanks.

We are to think that back in the summer a group of terrorists crossed from Mexico to wreak havoc on the not planned presidential debate that wasn't planned to be in Arizona.

sending their kids to school. no ordinary terorist but the one that holds hundreds of kids for days and then kills as many as they can,

and if bush back out, public not going to buy, they already think these terrorist alerts are fake because of all the ones in past to later find out it is old information or whatever

23. I have been saying there will be no debate for over a week
see the reasoning here:

www.debatedodger.blogspot.com

This is an interesting turn of events and it has the lead on Drudge crappy Karl Rove communications site:

WASH TIMES: U.S. security officials are investigating a recent intelligence report that a group of 25 Chechen terrorists illegally entered the United States from Mexico over summer... Members of the group, said to be wearing backpacks, secretly traveled to northern Mexico and crossed into a mountainous part of Arizona, Gertz to report in Page One Splash, newsroom sources tell DRUDGE...

From the Debate Dodger site:

The second scenario is even worse. The Bush team will create some sort of diversion to prevent the President from attending the debates. Whether it is an increased terror alert, security breech or something else it will be a total fabrication and attempt to trick the American people into believing that it is to DANGEROUS for the President to attend the debates.

This was written on October 4, 2004 by me.

26. No way Bush Cancels
He actually thinks he has the upper hand. He is a MASTER political strategist. Don't delude yourself into thinking his idiotic running of the gov't equates to the running of his campaign and he is DEFINITELY in charge of the campaign. It's what he knows. He can't run a gov't but he CAN run a campaign. We have underestimated him in this. Kerry must keep him from spouting his well crafted talking points but MUST get him on the defensive on the mess he has made of this country as a result of his economic policy which has been disastrous!

28. "25 Chechen terrorists?"
I think they'd be noticed when they showed up
at Taco Bell or Burger King or wherever. Where
on earth would they hide? Since 9/11 people are
a bit more observant of groups of foreign men
(other than Mexicans of course). And isn't their
beef with Putin?

furious george being stalked by 25 Chechen terrorists?

I don't think so.

29. Bush will show up
Bush will act like a chimp.
Bush will make faces.
Bush will look like the small angry man that he is.

If Bush runs away from a debate in the heart of America from a few guys in backpacks, it would be worse for his campaign than if he pooped his pants and threw it at Kerry on stage (which he actually might do LOL).

This is a distraction. Let's get back to what's important...DESTROYING SBGI!!!

30. let me see if I have this straight
every day thousands of illegal aliens cross our border with Mexico, but someone (who?) happened to notice 25 Chechens with backpacks what? just strolling across? and what? they were speaking Russian? And if they knew so much about them, why didn't they stop them? the fool on the hill had better not cancel the debate because he will be admitting he can't even keep himself safe let alone anyone else.

35. Great excuse for another lousy debate performance
There's no way that Bushboy will cancel the debate...however, Karen Hughes, et al, now have a great excuse for why he will suck...again.

"What do Americans care more about - a poor performance in a debate, or working hard every day on the grave threat that terrorists like these Chechen rebels represent to all freedom loving Americans in this nation blessed by God?"

I can see it coming.

Lots of God, freedom, danger, working hard, etc.

Let's see, cancelled debates, Osama captured, major terrorist strike before the election. I could sit back and laugh and collect, simply by selecting normalcy over conspiracy.

A hell of a lot easier than trying to decipher some NFL game with a 4 point spread.
