that Kerry will win, though they also think that Bush will do better than he did in the first debate. Though Bush couldnt do worse than he did in the first. People think Bush will do better. But he cant just do better than he did. Bush has to do a slam dunk. And the news from the last few days does not favor Bush.
There are far more questions that George Bush will be facing tonight than he was facing for the first debate. Paul Bremmers accusations, The Duelfer report, the bad September job report are all questions that Bush will be facing, and his accusations that Kerry is not a strong personality, that Kerry is a flip flopper, that Kerry has no plan will all be viewed in the light of the first debate, Kerry's performance, and the facts that Kerry's statements about both Iraq and the economy have been proven correct. That Bush had a plan to win the war (who couldnt win the war, as Kerry stated before the war) but no idea about how to win the peace as the Bush Administrations entire post war plan was predicated on our troops being met with flowers and cheers, while Kerry was predicting an insurgency as early as January 2003, a full 3 months before the war started. Kerry had a plan before the war started that would have prevented the mess that we are currently embroiled in.
Bush has no way to get out. The economy has not improved, except for corporations, and the fact that the tax cuts are being used to create new jobs. Unfortunately the jobs are not in the U.S. New figures are indicating that much of the tax relief given to large corporations is being sent overseas, allowing these corporations to outsource more jobs faster than they would have been able to without the tax cuts. Many companies that did not have the resources to take their operations overseas have been able to push forward plans to do so.
