:) I only smile to let you know this is a serious message. :)

As we know the Internet is a great source for information, whether it be about marching, protesting, writing letters and making calls, donating money to the people that are on our side, or whatever, but the Internet is scattered. There are several good liberal and leftist sights on the Net but they are not "organized" to the degree they could be. Ou purpose is to create a point in cyberspace where like-minded people could "check in" to see how many people actually agree with his viewpoints. There are never any mandatory fees. All monetary donations are voluntary (unlike Salon:)).

As Howard Dean said, "you have the power." Indeed, the Doctor was correct. We have the power and it's just floating out there in cyberspace waiting to be organized...

of taxes....Where's the problem??? :) All you have to do is visit DU and say "I want to join the Union"...and you're in. There is no entry charge. It is completely voluntary. The only product we have is "information"...and we're always exploring for more.

I want to join the Union. I've seen other proposals for internet-based sovereign entities, but they seemed to evolve rather non-democratically. Hopefully this will be different. :9

seriously, i think it's great.

especially considering the internet as political tool is in it's infancy, it owuld be a good idea to form some sort of coalition, or alliance between sites.


especially if you consider PNAC already wants to control the internet, it's never too early to start. we might rout 'em this year, but who's to say they won't be back.
