4. This one says it all
"Prayers and fasting today for Pres. Bush. I advise everybody who wants Bush to win, to fast, or at least make some sacrifice and offer it up for him."

How about you give up your first-borns to Count Cheney since you have no problem with OTHER people giving up their first-borns for Halliburton.

Ya know, my mom has a dog that can do tricks if you give her a treat. She will roll over, or sit up and beg.

8. debate
The freeps talk about Kerry's senate record, will he show up to vote?
I wonder if they know that GW has taken the most vacation time of any
President in History, and even 1month in August of 2001 after only
7months in the Whitehouse.
Kerry's record in the senate, he went after the Iran/Contra
the BCCI, lobbied for environment, a real tax cut for the middle class
health care

I just saw the one about "working vacations" for Bush, what a joke
do these freepers ever give up?
What is a working vacation
Do you go to Hawaii on vacation to work?
They are so ignorant

when alerts were extremely high and this nut has the nerve to state "shows up for his job" in relation to this habitually vacationing pResident. Jeeeze...I hope the nut fasts for a very long time. It would take a long time to cleanse the body and get these thought processes working better.

Sorry, this is just too good...I'd almost nominate it for a Front Page here.

For some chuckles so you don't have to slime your browser:

Can you spare an hour to pray for our President? As you know the second debate is tomorrow night, and our President needs our prayers. If you are interested in praying for him for an hour between midnight tonight and 11:00 p.m. tomorrow night, please reply. Let me know which hour you will commit to praying for him so that we can endeavor to cover him in prayer every minute tomorrow. We'll use Eastern Standard Time, so please adjust according to your time zone.

------------------

Why wait till midnight.....Start now!
I was trying to give everyone a heads-up. If anyone is willing to give an hour right now, let me know. Thanks.

If I may, I'd like to take 7-8 a.m. Eastern time. It's hard for me to find peace and quiet during the day or evening, with the kids going off all the time. But I pray during the workday too, when my Muslim boss and extreme liberal supervisors don't catch me.

To: codyjacksmom

Lets SUPPORT our president, not tear him down!!!

Excuse me? He's a politician, reapplying for his job. We'll see if he merits it. If he can't break away from gladhanding on TV in Florida (the latest Hurricane Handout) long enough to rest and prepare for an important job presentation, that shows pretty poor judgement on his part, IMHO.

He was sloppy, ill-prepared and took a very lazy approach to the first debate. Stellar presentation skills are part of, and critical to, the job. Normal people would be fired for doing such a poor job of presenting to the client.

He's just a politician, after all. And during his tenure, the government he administers had grown incredibly more expensive and oppressive. I don't think he was hired to achieve that.

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Matthew 23:14
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

"This is the line I want to hear Bush say at the debate

You missed 90% of the votes in the Senate, how exactly does this make you qualified to be a President ? Will you ever bother showing up? "

Not only in this figure inaccurate (The worst number I heard was 76 percent and it was for intelligence committee attendance, NOT senate, but thats another story, maybe someone can provide more information on that one) it is laughable considering all the vacation time Bush spent during the year leading up to September 11. I agree with this freerepulsive poster: I hope he DOES use that line, because Kerry's response would be swift, devastating, and oh so very sweet.

Personally, I think its been answered twice now, and I am confident it will be answered again this evening.

"God helps those who help themselves."

Which is, to my burned-out agnostic synapses, just another way of saying faith without works is dead. Just like 'sometimes, God says no.'

That's what I was always told, as a kid, when I complained praying didn't do anything. Either "God says no sometimes" or "God helps those who help themselves."

I wonder if any of those Kool-Aid drinkers could possibly understand any of the three Christian concepts I just articulated?
