Why You Should Come To Waikiki In 2011
"This conference is designed as an exciting family holiday during the day, and an intensive series of interactive lectures each evening.

We’ll be shaping a program to represent the best and brightest of our community. On the table to start with is a ten point action plan that will be the new strategy of an unorganized research community as it gears up to tackle among other things the Hanks / Bugliosi mini series and future of Black Op radio, and the 50th anniversary of the assassination.

This conference is a program that will inform, educate, galvanize, and organize a community, to speak with one voice. Key speakers Oliver Stone, Jim Douglass, Gov. Jesse Ventura, Mark Lane, Jim DiEugenio, John Armstrong and myself will be attending. A confirmed list of speakers is on the website."

As crazy as it sounds, apocalypsehow is scheduled to be in Oahu the very same week! Len Onsanic should invite me to be the sole, official "debunker" at the conference!

Who wants me to pick them up a "Black OPs Radio" t-shirt while I'm out there?

1. wow
Do you think they will sell out fast?
I want to go but not sure if I can.
But if I wait to long, I could get shut out!
What to do...?

12. Haaaahaaa! I'm telling you, zappaman, it's going to be a hoot! I wouldn't pay a dime to get into the
thing, of course, but I'm hoping to at least get some pics after the "discussion" is over of the event. My girlfriend's agreed to tag along with me to the Goofy Bullshit-fest one night as long as we don't waste more than a couple of hours there, and I try to get a pic of us with Jesse Ventura. I'm psyched!

2. I will already be there at the end of...
May.

Think we can get them to delay it until then? This could be the year they blow the lid off this thing!

I wonder if Octadude is going. What a hoot!

10. I will - even though I'm not going to pay to get in I'm going to stop by there the evening of one
of the "discussions" - probably the Saturday night one, when Ventura will be speaking - and see if they won't let me take some pics. I'll post them here in the 9-11 forum if I manage to swing that. Hopefully, I can get a pic of me with Jesse after the conference is over. I'll post that here, too, if I manage to get one.

Hell, if I get that far I'll go ahead and ask for his autograph, and I'll ask him to sign "To all my friends in the DU 9-11 forum". :-)

4. No wonder these guys are regarded as...
Edited on Mon Jan-31-11 05:33 AM by SDuderstadt
an inside joke:

The primary goal of this conference is to make it the time and place to shape what people think of political research.

I invite you to take part in the first step of unification. I invite you to be a part of the solution.

This is where the community will start being a community, and become organized.

This is a chance for us to shape which direction we should take, rather than simply being part of an audience.

I think all of this is possible, and with your direct participation in the Hawaii 2011 Super Conference, it will happen.  We can unify.  We can create a community.  We can become organized.

By the time these guys get organized, not only will every direct eyewitness be dead, it's even likely nearly everyone who was alive at the time of the assassination will be dead too.

11. LOL - I know. The second I first read that I thought of the phrase "keep digging, almost there!"
My girlfriend doesn't care anything about Jesse Ventura's goofy CT'er bullshit, but she wants to meet him because she loved his role in "Predator" back in the nineteen-eighties - hopefully we can time swinging by the conference the night he's speaking just right, and get some pics with him plus his autograph. If they're handing out those name-tag sticky things I'll write "apocalypsehow" on it for my pic and post it here - uber-cool.

5. "Len Onsanic should invite me to be the sole, official "debunker" at the conference!"
Why should he do that? So you can feed your delusions of adequacy? Someone who attempts to debunk crop circles with a "Guys with lawnmowers & weedeaters" explanation really doesn't have a leg to stand on in the first place. Granted, some of them are hoaxes, but they are easily discernible, especially if lawnmowers and weedeaters are involved.

Here's your chance, Mr SuperDebunker: Explain away the higher levels of radioactivity, electromagnetic, and microwave energy inside some of the circles, as well as the lengthened growth nodes found in plants in the circles that experts have declared to be "not man made".

Here's you a story of two crop circles near my home, which appeared a year apart. The second one was determined to be a hoax, the first one was classified as "non man made".

CROP CIRCLE 2008 A HOAX!

Experts: “Clearly Man-Made Formation”

The recent crop circle that was discovered just outside Madisonville ten days ago was determined by experts on Wednesday “to be mechanically made by people.”

{snip}

As for the recent crop circle, Wilson said it quite validates last year’s formation. The differences between the two were strikingly different, he said.

“The formation we investigated last year was not made by man. I can honestly say that. What created it and how it came to be, we don’t know. We can only determine which ones are made by pranksters and which ones are not formed by the hand of man. But that’s about as far as we can go.”

6. umm...
I think that narrowly construed, your post violates a couple of DU rules. But the OP doesn't seem likely to go anywhere useful, so, whatever.

I'm sort of puzzled by this "experts have declared" and "was classified as" language, as if there were some sort of unimpeachable scientific consensus. If this self-appointed crop circle expert has established a "one sure scientific test that separates man-made formations from those not made by man," he really ought to get to work on convincing scientists, not the crowd at Donna's Old Town Cafe. Yes, I know, scientists can be stubborn gits, but the ones I know are also curious as hell.

7. Is the conference about crop circles?
No of course not. So how did the crop circles get here? ( On this thread I mean. )

"the first one was classified as "non man made"

Maybe this guy did it:

Mowing-Devil

Hell, maybe we can coax him out of, err, retirement, and convince Onsanic to swing him a speaking slot out at Waikiki!

13. I really am thinking of going to this...
It could be really enlightening...or it could be a circle-jerk.
Can we get a head count who is going?

14. The link in my OP now takes you to some blog post from 2010 that says the conference is canceled
- IIRC it originally linked to the Black Op website itself, and information about the "conference."

I Googled around, and found this link that takes you to the same place the original link did:

http://www.blackopradio.com/hawaii_2011.html

According to that link, the "conference" is still on. And it appears to be updated since last I looked at it months ago: it has new pictures from Hawaii, and a new "agenda" for our "Researchers" to rally around:

"The time has come for Unification of the JFK Research Community,
It's time to take the money away from the city and state that murdered JFK
It's time to organize against well funded dis-information
It's time to inspire people of various views to get together what we agree on
It's time to drop focus where researchers disagree... and focus on progress
It's time for science and research to expose the fraud of the Warren Commisson (Sic)
Goal: To Resolve Differences In A Common Agenda"

This part of the new "agenda" was particularly repulsive:

"It's time to take the money away from the city and state that murdered JFK"

I guess our "Researchers" - at least as personified by Len Osanic - think it's cool to collectively blame an entire state and its citizens for a crime that was committed nearly fifty years ago. Even if one accepts the absurd proposition that there was a conspiracy to assassinate JFK in 1963, is it really either logical or just to collectively blame an entire city and state fifty years after the fact for the crime? According to Black OP Radio the answer is: yep.

That's "Researcher" logic for you, in a nutshell.

Anyway, the embedded video says "March 2011," but the first page I linked to in the original OP said "April 18-24," just like the one above. The video contradicts this, for some reason. Now it appears the thing has been postponed/canceled indefinitely - Jesse Ventura doesn't like TSA or something. Much, much confusion: our "Researchers" seem to be quite disorganized and unable to get their shit together for any sustained period of time - and not just when it comes to actual historical facts, credible evidence and verifiable data.

Looks like I'm not going to be able to get that Black Op Radio T-shirt I was so hoping for, after all.
