Truth Burn at Burning Man
http://www.911truthburn.blogspot.com/
For those going to Burning Man this year, there will be a Burning Steel exhibit.

Burning Man Says Yes To TruthBurn

TruthBurn Given Final Approval For Burning Man 2007

TruthBurn is happening at Burning Man! DaveX, the head of fire safety passed the final plan for the art project. A North SF Bay metal fabricator will be constructing the piece that has been designed by John Parulis, rendered into prints by Scott Page and engineered by Charles Pegelow, all members of ae911truth.org. The sculpture will be destroyed by about 40 lbs of remotely ignited thermite towards the end of the festival. With help from Ken Jenkins, audio and video from the 911 truth movement will be shown in the evenings on a screen suspended from the sculpture. Architect Richard Gage, AIA, is slated to give a talk during the demolition phase of this art project.

1. I don't think he understands
I don't think he quite understands the symbolic imagery conveyed of members of the 9-11 Truth movement setting a giant steel TRUTH ablaze but as performance art I think it's a blast. Don't really care for the choice in music though. If anyone from this forum goes to Burning Man I'd love to see photos from the event.

4. So, how did it go?

Angle-cut columns?

Molten pools of metal for weeks?

I have seriously - and I mean seriously - been looking forward to the result of the Truth Burn. As I understand the project, it will provide the first-ever internet-posted pictures of what a vertical steel column looks like after it is cut by thermite.

Now, I know it takes a few days to recover from Burning Man (my bro' still doesn't have his pictures up http://www.stagger.net/ ) but I think it is great that someone decided to do a relevant physical experiment for a change.

Pix? Video? Nekkid folk dancing in the desert?

"As mentioned below, we made what I believe was a safe and smart decision not to place our thermite cutter charges on the sign itself, rather ignite them beneath the sign on a hunk of steel we obtained from another artist."

Gee, I wonder why they couldn't place thermite on a vertical surface and "finesse" it in to doing their bidding?

So basically, after all the hype, they made a giant fucking overweighted sign and lit a fire under it - and they had to borrow a piece of steel. They shoulda called the local Girl Scouts chapter for better results.

No collapse. No thermite "cut charges".............just a big "flash in the pan"....   Kinda like the troof movement.

8. I wonder why none of the truthers have stepped forward to explain...
....why it is so difficult to attach thermite cut-charges to a simple model?

Surely, the geniuses at AE911 can show us how it was done. I know they are using "safety reasons" as a cop-out - as if attaching the "cut-charges" to the side of that model would be any LESS dangerous than their little flash-in-the pan mental masturbation exercise.

Come to think of it,,,,,Has ANYONE fabricated a thermite cut-charge??????

9. "on a hunk of steel..."

Did they at least manage to cut that?

Can we, at long last, get a picture of "thermite cut metal" out of these people?

11. LOL, the caption for that photo ought to be...
"Truth withstands thermite attack from Truth Movement."

So, it was an art project, after all.

14. A $20,000 dollar art project............
.........at least that is what they were trying to raise. I have no idea how much they DID raise.

It sounds to me like someone wanted to finance their Burning Man trip.
