Hotel security video shows 9/11 Pentagon blast, but no plane; link to a non-Myspace host.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A hotel security camera video released by the U.S. government showed the explosion that followed the crash of American Airlines Flight 77 into the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, but the low-quality recording did not capture an image of the 757 jetliner.
The video, recorded by a security camera at the Doubletree Hotel in Arlington, was released to public interest group Judicial Watch and others who filed a lawsuit seeking the tape and other videos from that day.
CNN filed a Freedom of Information request for the video in February 2002, after the manager of the hotel disclosed its existence to CNN Senior Pentagon Correspondent Jamie McIntyre and said it had been confiscated by the FBI. CNN's FOI request was denied because at the time the tape was considered evidence in the investigation of Zacarias Moussaoui, who has since been convicted.
There was speculation that this video might show the American Airlines 757 jetliner before it crashed, but a close examination by CNN only revealed the subsequent explosion and no image of the jet. The only known record of the plane is on images from the Pentagon security camera, first broadcast by CNN in March of 2002, and officially released in their entirety May of this year.

What the hell for? Did anyone look at the tape? If someone even took so much as a cursory glance at it they would have dismissed it immediately.

How could anything on this low-quality tape qualify as evidence?

Yet they hold on to it for five years as if it is the "Holy Grail" of evidence. It's no wonder that new theories about 9/11 sprout up all the time.

Oh, and another thing - everyone agrees that this was the crash on 9/11? The explosion we see rising in the air is from the Pentagon, and it is the initial attack, right?

This video shows no plane and yet records the rising explosive cloud from the moment of impact/whatever, right?

7. No, I don't agree

I believe I see what may be the airplane in the released video. On the second and third loops its easier to catch, if you look for a white blur just over the horizon and slightly before the truck that's passing left to right at the top of the screen. The first loop doesn't show the blue because that loop actually starts a little later that the other loops (as evidenced by the position of the truck).

Is this video definitive proof of an airplane? Hell, no. Does it fail to show an aircraft? That I'm not convinced of.

It's hard to tell whether that is the tailfin or a vehicle on the freeway.

But it's quite clear, and I think you'll agree with me, that there is no plane flying OVER the Pentagon.

All of the posters here are in accord - no plane flew over the Pentagon when Flight 77 crashed into it.

14. I see vehicles not veering from a straight course.

It's no stretch of the imagination to consider a jetliner crossing one's path on the road may discombobulate a driver.

I'm unimpressed by your snarky commentary and obvious disdain. An amiable, respectful querying or countering to my post might have been something like, "So what about the video causes you to believe that the drivers were calmly in control of their vehicles, especially when I can't discern much from it."

And you might also consider that I'm looking at a different version than the one linked to in the OP.
