If anyone here still doubts the 9/11 Commission was a whitewash...

Hopefully this will lay that notion to rest. From today's Washington Post, Cofer Black, head of the CIA's counterterrorism unit is quoted:

The July 10 meeting of Rice, Tenet and Black went unmentioned in various investigations into the Sept. 11 attacks, and Woodward wrote that Black "felt there were things the commissions wanted to know about and things they didn't want to know about."

Jamie S. Gorelick, a member of the Sept. 11 commission, said she checked with commission staff members who told her investigators were never told about a July 10 meeting. "We didn't know about the meeting itself," she said. "I can assure you it would have been in our report if we had known to ask about it."

White House and State Department officials yesterday confirmed that the July 10 meeting took place, although they took issue with Woodward's portrayal of its results.

He says commissions. The 9/11 Congressional Inquiry was only marginally better, in my opinion (at least they covered the Saudi angle some). I'm sure that as time goes on, more and more overlooked instances like this will come out. And the REALLY damning stuff will probably take the longest to see the light of day, if it ever does. As one of the Jersey Girls says in the 9/11: Press for Truth movie, "the 9/11 Commission was the ultimate don't ask, don't tell."

we really, really need to revisit the root details of why the 9/11 attacks were successful. We've learned an incredible amount of new details and the more you evaluate the results of the 9/11 Commission Report, the more you realize that the purpose was to filter and limit the scope of questions and avoid anyone from having accountability for their actions on that day.

No justice served for the 3,000 who died that day....and the same cast of characters are still in a position to benefit from another "terrorist attack".

7. The same Bob Woodward told the public

what Bush registered in his diary on 9/11 - that it was the Pearl harbor of the 21st century. And "an interesting day".

The Pearl harbor of the 21st century was exactly what the PNAC guys were longing for - see the remark in the article "Rebuilding Americas Defenses" to transform the military into what it is now.

So when Tenet met with the others in the White House

he uttered (allegedly) his "concerns" in front of those who were longing for the event.

The 9/11 ommission is completely uninteresting: I do not know ONE fact that was investigated by that crew.

8. It was "a failure of imagination" only if

you accept the premise that the Bush administration didn't want an attack to occur.

Because the commission didn't entertain that premise, they had the "failure of imagination."

9. Every one I've looked at had a conflict of interest

on the 911 "Omission", which means they had a motive to not find out too much. They needed to protect their corporate clients and colleagues, etc.. I don't think it is just that they were not "given" the information Also, every interesting person I read about that was there , always says they tried to contact them, but they weren't interested. testimony to include meeting the chimp on August 18 2001 2 days after Moussouari was arrested, and August 25 2001 tenet spent the day at the ranch in Crawford with rice, and some war hawk generals, also on August 31 2001 when chimpy came back from vacation just in time to have the Labor Day weekend off. My question is,"what did they discuss at those 3 subsequent meetings" Osama, Enron, h'm.. I'd like to know because if they failed to discuss the Phoenix Flight Memo, Asscrofts threat assessment, the Aug.6 01' PDB (alright you covered your ass memo) then their guilty of gross dereliction of duty

13. The only way to dispose of the possibility of Israeli involvement

is to investigate it honestly.

Israeli foreknowledge is not necessarily evidence of participation.
Maybe diligent Israeli investigators simply doing their jobs of
fighting international terrorism paid attention to the warnings

And it is full of holes. And the members of the Omission knew the questions that needed to be answered for it to become not the Omission, but they refused to find the answers. The Widows had several questions that were completely ignored!

Well, finally Bushco has been evicted from squatting our White House and as we get to the point where Bushco is charged with their crimes, maybe some brave soul in the investigation will open up this Bushco nightmare and we get to the bottom of it?

designed to spell out in the most inocuous terms to the administraion what happened on 9-11.

That does not mean it was an inside job.
