Saudi Arabia pledges $1 billion to rebuild Gaza

The Saudi king says his country will donate $1 billion to help rebuild the Gaza Strip after Israel's devastating three-week offensive in the Palestinian territory.

King Abdullah criticizes Israel for using excessive force in Gaza and says "one drop of Palestinian blood" is more valuable than all the money in the world.

The king spoke Monday in Kuwait City at a summit focused on boosting economic growth and development in the Arab world.

1. "One drop of Palestnian blood is more valuable that all the money in the world"?
Just what have the Arabs done for the Palestinians in 60 years (besides trick them, leave them in squalid camps, refuse them jobs, kick them out of their countries, kill them or just give them weapons to do their proxy work)?

4. They give them money to keep them moderately satisified in their condition.
But the condition that they are in is squarely the fault of the Arab states and their policies toward them.

2. Saudi Arabia has been the most reliable and selfless supporter of the Palestinians
When the king says "one drop of Palestinian blood" is more valuable than all the money in the world, it is not just empty words. The welfare of the Palestinians has always meant far more to Saudi rulers than have money and power.

5. Why doesn't this selfless country allow Palestinians citizenship?
Why does this "selfless" country condemn other Arab countries (like Jordon whose population is 50% former Palestinians), and make them refuse citizenship to Palestinians?

The political positioning has always meant more to those rulers than the people themselves. The welfare of a peoples is not helped by locking them into refugee camps.
