Bush Blames Palestinian Authorities
- President Bush blamed Palestinian authorities Wednesday for the deaths of Americans in an attack in Gaza, saying their failure to create terrorist-fighting security forces "continues to cost lives."

"Palestinian authorities should have acted long ago to fight terror in all its forms," the president said in a written statement as he flew to California for an overnight visit en route to Asia.

Bush said he condemned the attack in the strongest terms and that the United States was working with authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Putting the blame squarely on the Palestinian leadership, Bush said, "The failure to create effective Palestinian security forces dedicated to fighting terror continues to cost lives. There must be an empowered prime minister who contols all Palestinian forces — reforms that continue to be blocked by Yasser Arafat."

Palestinian lies about Israeli involvement will be no matter. They find America and Israel more united than ever. America has felt the tragedy of Palestinian terror. Killers beware.

1. I didn't think that Bsuh was to be trusted...
and I'd like to know just how Palestinian terrorists would get hold of such wepaons.

They simply don't have the means. This isn't Palestinian terrorism, this is Al Qaeda or some such professional organization.

What our illegitimate president said about Arafat was pretty much correct, but I doubt he or his advisors or Ariel Sharon know how one can get around it...

Hint: It does not involve killing or expelling him.

3. Excuse me......
is this the part you feel is correct??

"Putting the blame squarely on the Palestinian leadership, Bush said, "The failure to create effective Palestinian security forces dedicated to fighting terror continues to cost lives. There must be an empowered prime minister who contols all Palestinian forces — reforms that continue to be blocked by Yasser Arafat (news - web sites)."

4. Not all of it...
the part that says that Arafat is blocking reforms neccesary for an empowered Prime Minister. That is true; anyone who has read the articles that I have read on the subject cannot say that it is not without being dishonest to himself.

5. So is Sharon blocking 'reforms' the biggest reform: withdrawl from
occupied territories.

8. I'm not sure what you mean by that...
but you can put this on record, if you want.

I believe Arafat is an amoral person. He will try to gain more power in basically every way possible. One of those ways is by undermining moderate prime ministers working towards peace. Therefore, he is indeed an obstacle to peace because he undermines the moderates.

Sharon is more to blame than Arafat, IMO, for reasons that I'll discuss if you wish, but denying that Arafat is to blame at all is simply ignorance.
