Iran to target `32 US bases` if attacked

TEHRAN: Iran will target "32 US bases and the heart of Israel" if it is attacked, a foreign news agency quoted an aide to supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as saying on Saturday.

"If America and Israel shoot any bullets and missiles against our country, Iranian armed forces will target the heart of Israel and 32 US bases in the region before the dust from this attack has settled," Mojtaba Zolnoor said.

Zolnoor is Khamenei`s deputy representative for the elite Revolutionary Guards, the force which controls Iran`s more potent weaponry, particularly its longer-range missiles capable of striking Israel and US bases in the Gulf.

1. 32 seems a bit "ambitious"

but that US troops in Iraq would suer as a result of an Israeli or joint US Israeli attack is without question.

As it stands right now, both the US and Israel are publicly downplaying Iran's test launching of what it claims is a new missile. The US says "analysts" say the missiles are the same ole same ole that Iran has had for years and Israel claims the pictures are "photoshopped".

2. Apparently, dick-waving is not a purely Western cultural trait.

Edit: I was noting the US/Israeli effort to tone things down, which was sort of why this Iranian dick-waving story seemed interesting to me. So, yeah.
