Prime Minister Ariel Sharon levelled harsh
criticism at the Labor Party and the Israeli left
wing Wednesday evening, accusing them of
collaborating with the Palestinians in an effort
to topple the government.

Speaking at a Likud function in
Bat Yam to support the party's
candidate for local elections,
the prime minister said that
the members of the Israeli left
were using "illegitimate means"
to try to bring down the
government.

"There are recent cynical political attempts
on the part of the Labor
Party and the left to topple the government
through illegitimate means during a period when
we are involved in a difficult struggle against
terrorism," Sharon said, apparently in response
to recent critical remarks by the left.

"They have not hesitated in employing any steps
and there are even those in the Labor Party who
coordinate actions with the Palestinians behind
the government's back."

I'm proven right over and over again.

The scary thing is that they are planning a trip to Israel for Passover.

I'm trying to dissuade them from going, but unless Sharon's coalition (which is already fragile enough) collapses and the left-center coalition is formed with a new PM that will work for peace, not bomb for peace.
