Hamas issues SOS to the Arab world
In an unusual step, Hamas yesterday issued a call
for help to the Arab world, citing Israel's
assassination attempt on Sheikh Ahmed Yassin's
life and the European Union's inclusion of Hamas
on its list of terror groups as the reasons.

The organization asked for
assistance in its struggle
against pressure exerted by
Israel and by the West at
large, as exemplified by the
European Union's recent
decision to place Hamas'
political wing on its list of
terror organizations.

Hamas spokesman Abdel Aziz Rantisi said
yesterday that his organization does not
unconditionally oppose the selection of Ahmed
Qureia (Abu Ala) as Palestinian Authority prime
minister. However, Rantisi warned, should Abu
Ala "try to go the same route taken by Abu
Mazen," and should he try to accept the
principles of the Oslo Accords, "he will share
the same fate" as Abu Mazen, and his
government's days will be numbered.

1. Poor babies
the tables have turned. Funny how terrorists can dish it out but not take it.

2. HAMAS needs to die, not with a bang, but a whimper.

3. The Muslim Brotherhood was killing for Islam in the 50's-and a name change
to Hamas has not changed anything about it.

It preaches a fundie faith as bad as Christian fundies that want to kill doctors, and is in no danger of dying out. An SOS to the Arab world has been issued by this group every few years since the 50's.

What crap - it is a shame they still get non-critical PR after 50 years.

6. But...
the Hamas terrorists aren't attacking the IDF soldiers, but rather Israeli civilians. The situation is far different.

7. Oh
you live in a concentration camp? Because otherwise there is no way you would be able to speak to the inmates. Remember there is only one way out of a concentration camp, as smoke going up the chimmeny.

8. Nonsense...
How do you think some of the first news of the depth of Nazi atrocities got out to the world? It was from inmates of concentration camps who managed to escape....

9. Palestinians do move, you know.
Palestinians are all over the world, particularly other countries of the middle east.

While I have absolutely no sympathy at all for Hamas, I stand in solidarity right now with the Palestinians. Occupation isn't their only problem anymore. Israel's government has gotten many of them jobless, and relying on aid. That might be fine, if the PA didn't freeze up the funds that give out that aid. The way I see it, many of the Palestinians will starve by the masses and die if they're not helped. There's a time when I wouldn't have dared said this, but I do believe that another holocaust could happen; this time cheered on by Israel. Israel didn't freeze the funds, but they're applauding it, and offering NOTHING to help the potentially starving Palestinians. But Israel is the morally superior country, right? That makes me sick.

10. What if the inmates were too cowed to attack???
What if they meekly marched to their slaughter without putting up a fight???
