Luby's was the case that was used to bring shall-issue to Texas. A crazy guy drove a pick-up truck through the window and began shooting people. Suzanna Hupp had a gun in her car but had left it there because at the time Texas did not allow concealed carry. She was not able to shoot back at the guy and watched helplessly as her parents were killed. She was instrumental in getting shall-issue concealed carry passed in Texas after this incident.

IIRC, She refused to sign a CCW bill several times. One of the major reasons she lost a re-election bid was her refusal to even consider it.

Then "you know who" was elected. Another great gift from the gun control side.

Big Time Fail on This One - Luby's is the case cited in favor of CCW.

Susan Gratia Hupp who was a law abiding citizen that day and left her gun in her car only to have her dad gunned down in front of her & her mother also gunned down got herself elected to Texas legislature on this issue and was instrumental in getting Texas CCW law.
