2. Obviously Americans are impressed with its performance in the hands of a
lunatic. Perhaps Boener is on to something, he doesn't need to wear orange hunting garb to safeguard himself from errant bullets.

3. $500 is pretty cheap for such a lethal "security blanket" I guess...
I think I'll stick with common sense in terms of where I go alone and when, pepper spray (and a low powered personal taser that I've had for years if really needed), cell phone and my beloved and highly protective doggy girl.

even in daylight, is not bad either. They're down to a size that can fit in a small bag, and also useful in signaling for help.

9. It's a predictable knee-jerk reaction to the predictable knee-jerk calls for gun bans
Gun ban proponents have only themselves to blame.

11. what are you talking about gun bans?! No one has even mentioned that.
They are talking of two things. Ammunition limits in relation to guns---and don't allow these extra gun magazines, this about magazine bans, not guns. The second talk is about keeping people with guns away from political leaders. These are not uninformed or misinformed people who believe there will be gun bans.

12. Rep Carolyn McCarthy & Senator Frank Lautenberg..
Both were on MSNBC today (Lautenberg with Contessa, McCarthy with someone else) pimping their soon-to-be-introduced AWB 2.0.

15. But this is not coming from the legislative body. These are opinion citizens.
Every time there is a shoot out---these private citizens share these view points. So I don't see what you're seeing. Again, these reactionary people are misinformed or uninformed. What your stating has noting to do with the body that actually has the power to change the laws. The conversation is entirely on magazines. That's the end of it...guns are allowed.

I'm a rifle shooter and major supporter of the 2nd amendment. I see no fear in the statements because we need to monitor these things. I don't see what someone is shooting that you need 30 clips. Are they military?! Are they are war with trees or something?

Your links do not defend the stupidity.

16. There are people in Congress who have proposed gun bans in the past
The mayors of Chicago and Washington, DC are in favor of handgun bans.

It's not hard to find that kind of extreme position if you just look a little.
