CCW holder stops bank robbery
http://www.myfoxdetroit.com/dpp/news/local/good-samaritan-stops-bank-robbery-suspect

At 10:00 a.m. Monday, a man is accused of passing a note to a teller at the National City Bank on Woodward, and then grabbing the cash and running out the door.

Good Samartian Michael Farrow saw him running down the street and decided to get involved.

Farrow has a CCW and was carrying a gun when he told the man to stop and get down.

3. Didn't Farrow
get the memo he was supposed to start blasting, wounding and/or killing innocent people while his bloodthirst played out in his pursuit of the bad guy? :sarcasm:

At least, that's what the anti's insist happens. NO :sarcasm:

4. Would this technically be legal?
I don't expect the guy to be charged or anything, but since he wasn't protecting himself or anyone else from imminent bodily harm, wouldn't this technically be "brandishing"? Or does Michigan law allow for interrupting a felony?

5. Illegal to stop a felony?
Please, don't give anyone any ideas.

No disrespect intended, but I find this mentality of "don't get involved" to be one of this Nations' biggest problems.

6. Illegal to pull a gun on someone in a non-self-defense capacity.
I'm sure no one objects to stopping felonies, but if the law doesn't allow for that now, that fact should be well known and a push made to change it.

7. Yes it does
Stopping a felony is one of the legally sanctioned uses for a firearm.

8. In WA, it's legal to do so if you witness a felony in progress. Other states, maybe, maybe not.
