MEET OTIS McDONALD (Plaintiff in McDonald vs. Chicago)
Otis McDonald

/>

I spent part of yesterday with Otis McDonald, the lead named plaintiff in McDonald v. Chicago, now under deliberation by the United States Supreme Court. When the Second Amendment Foundation mounted this challenge to the Chicago handgun ban, they could not have made a better choice. Mr. McDonald is your quintessential hard-working, self-made American.

Beginning life as the son of a sharecropper in Mississippi, he served in the United States Army, spent thirty years working for a university, and is now trying to finish his life in peaceful retirement with his spouse. However, the Chicago neighborhood where he has owned a home since the 1970s has been increasingly blighted by dope dealers, gang-bangers, and the sort of punks who harass and harm the elderly. He has been threatened on the street, and his home has been broken into numerous times.

--snip--

One of the last questions I asked him was what sort of handgun he planned to acquire if, as almost all SCOTUS watchers predict, the case that bears his name results in an opinion that shoots down the nearly 30-year-old Chicago handgun ban. His answer? A 1911 model .45 caliber semiautomatic pistol

2. Ha Ha Ha. SOOOO much a "stooge" the NRA had to file with SCOTUS to
get time during the oral arguments. Yeah, this "stooge" tried to keep the NRA OUT of it. LMFAO!!!

5. Got ANY proof of that? No, none, nadda! Because you've fallen for NRA propaganda.

Or you could offer up some proof. How about the fact that the NRA tried to derail the the Parker case (that became the Heller case)? Oh wait, that doesn't fit into your box does it? You have a preconceived idea that the NRA is everywhere, and behind everything. Do some research, the NRA LOST members do to their actions on Parker/Heller and then tried to take credit for it. Guess they fooled you. And regarding this current case they are trying to weasel their way in to claim credit for a sure to be win. Guess you'll fall for that one too.

7. Don't you know
Guns = NRA = right wing (as if people on the left don't share any of these views.) If there is one thing that can unite the right and left, as far as firearms are concerned, it's the 2A and CCW rights.
