Pittsburgh cop killer Poplawski: A gun nut who followed white supremacist sites

Richard Poplawski, the 22-year-old man authorities say shot and killed three Pittsburgh police officers on Saturday, posted pictures of his tattoos on white supremacist websites and told friends he believes President Obama wants to take away individuals' right to bear arms, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Poplawski is alleged to have shot the officers Saturday morning after they arrived at his mother's home in response to her 911 call. When the officers entered the home, Polawski allegedly shot them in the head from close range.

Funny that people on your side of the argument rarely mention that. Fewer police officers were shot to death last year than any prior year since 1956.

I would prefer that officers not get shot. I also believe that mentally competent adults with clean records should retain the choice to own non-automatic, non-sound-suppressed Title 1 firearms under .51 caliber, plus shotguns, on the same basis we do now.

Now I know that won't be popular with the sick, freedom of speech worshipers who fetishize free speech (probably as a compensation for a small penis). But then, they won't be happy until all LEOs are killed.

Is there really any reason, in this day and age, and with rising hatred (probably), and internet based crimes (I made up some stats to back that), to have this sort of rapid fire information source (literally an assault weapon of information), that the founders clearly did not intend when they originally penned the first amendment?
