Philippine lottery game returns to haunt Arroyo
A grassroots lottery that helps the poor or a social evil that corrupts police and politicians?
The Philippines is once again grappling with that question over a hugely popular but illegal numbers game called "jueteng."

Milagros Malabanan, a housewife in Manila, usually bets 10 pesos, which is about 20 U.S. cents, a day and says her small wins every few weeks supplement her husband's meager salary as a public transport driver.

"I would rather take care of my numbers than look after a dog because I could probably hit a jackpot one day," she said.

Any hour of the day go pick up a Child Whore next to Arroyo's Presidential Palace. Just another "Newsweek" story. Something everyone knows but doesn't get attention until it's some use to the Power Elite.

Look at the man installed and supported by America and who happen to murder 1000s more than Saddam. American Democracy!
