DU: The Limits To Growth
Edited on Fri May-11-07 08:04 PM by bananas
Regarding the server problems, everyone is ignoring the elephant in the living room: overpopulation - there are just too many people on DU! We've gone beyond the carrying capacity of the servers, and no "technological fix" will stop the inevitable collapse. In a few months, the population will drop from over 100,000 down to about 5,000. This massive die-off will be horrible. I'm glad I don't have kids.

1. No, it's the tubes.

3. You only say that because you're a pawn of the tubing industry!
We need to think outside the box and start developing some alternatives to tubes, perhaps we can use hoses as a stopgap measure until tubal-alternatives an be developed. To be sure, if we don't do something soon, we're going to be stuck using a big truck to pile stuff on...

4. I'm not a pawn, dammit!
And to prove it, I'll second your recommendation that we use hoses until an alternative to tubes is developed. An excellent idea, by the way.

We certainly don't want to get stuck using big trucks....

5. We need Sustainable HEMP SERVERS!
A new type of hard disk has been developed that uses only organically-grown HEMP, yet it can hold a staggering 63½ kilobytes of data!!!!!!!

This is HUGH ! 1 !1 ! 1 !

Here is a Pee-Reviewed article from BobHEMP:

IFF WEE DONT GET ORGNIC HEMP SERVERS NOW WEE WIL ALL DYE!1!1!
(Murdoch Press, 10/4 in this style: Drug-related psychosis curable by Jesus, Abstinence, Lower Taxes, Republican leaders say)

We can say goodbye to the KKK0rpr0ate Death D1sKKKs that remain toxiKKK for 279,683¼ years -- and prevent a terrist attack that would lead to a Server 9-11!

GO VEDGE!
STOP THE HOLOCAUST OF THE KITTIES!
BUY NFL BULBS!
LEGALIZE POTRZEBIE!
