Gov. Ted Strickland was brandishing a small vial of clear liquid last week that he hopes will provide a significant boost to the state’s economy and its push for alternative fuels.
The liquid was diesel produced from coal, and Strickland said three companies are considering Ohio for possible plants to produce it.
The governor said though he couldn’t disclose any details, he met recently with representatives of the companies and thinks all three proposals might be viable.
"They say the market is such that they all three could be successful and happy for each other," Strickland said.
