The Loopwing is a new wind turbine from a Japanese company.

There are, aside from the fact that it’s a great looking home wind turbine to save you and your family lots of money on electricity by using good old free wind power, some great features on the Loopwing.

It’s quiet balanced “globe-rotating” style blades have a number of features not found in typical home turbine systems.

It can operate in winds as low as 3.6 miles per hour (1.6 meters per second). That’s a very light breeze.

1. From Japan.
Thanks to Cheney, we can expect to see all such innovative alternate energy sources coming from, well, just about anywhere but here.

We've outsourced heavy industry, light industry, tech industry - we are the future third world.

5. GOP thinks it makes sense to cut support for people who want to get more education
and give back more tax cuts to the wealthiest 2% of the population. A prescription for lower productivity growth, less innovation, lower job creation and more economic stagnation.

But the oil companies are making record profits (and Billions of dollars are sent overseas for crude oil) and capital gains are taxed at lower rates (benefitting those who get significant amounts of income from trading stocks). Trying to grow an economy on increased sales of million dollar yachts, armani suits, and second homes for the top 2%-4% of the population. 1934 here we come.

6. Pretty funky looking. Almost like a piece of modern art.
I wonder if the unit can be scaled up for larger generating capacity? Desinged in Japan, eh? Does any American company design anything in this country any more, besides weapons?
