Renewable Energy Powerhouse: Siemens Enters Ocean Power Industry
Siemens might be the company to watch right now in the renewable energy world. It is getting its hands into everything.

Already a global leader in the wind industry and firmly entrenched in the solar industry, Siemens Energy (NYSE:SI) is now diving into the marine energy industry.

The company announced today that it has purchased a 10% stake in Marine Current Turbines, a Britain-based tidal power company. Marine Current develops tidal turbines that operate much like underwater wind turbines. Motors allow the turbine to rotate upto 180 degrees in order to capture energy as the tide changes direction.
