If you ever wonder why some of the anti-nukes never interview coal executives
about particulate inclusions in lung tissue, one answer is that they don't know any science.

The other is that they couldn't care less about coal particulate inclusions, even though, unlike the Vermont Nuclear Plant that anti-nukes seek to replace with dangerous fossil fuels, coal particulate inclusions have killed tens of millions of people in the last twenty years.

1. Repeat after me.
There is no such thing as clean coal.

In fact, there is no such thing as clean fossil fuels.

It's time to switch to renewables, in fact, long past time.

I have been saying..wanting to switch to renewables since I saw a strip mine the first time.

Unfortunately the cash outlay. We would do it today if funds were available.
We did start on a strategy to be fossil fuel free here in ten years or less, so far we have cut our energy use by 45% on house hold electric power and bought a car that gets 35-39mpg after the 15mpg Caravan finally died at 19yrs old and a lot of miles.
Most of the house hold projects so far have been low cost aside from replacing the dead appliances with high rated energy star ones.
We each can switch off lights and kill the vampire loads and take some of the load off of power supplies, many are reaching the end of life, if we did that (and demanded ) our power companies can start building wind and solar projects. Our co-op power company gets a lot of coal power, but has recently brought a 50 mega watt solar plant online.

We need to keep the pressure up, though there are the climate deniers and the green energy sceptics whine and bitch they want their profits screw everyone else.
