SPECTER takes a stand re the ENERGY/CLIMATE BILL
From a REPOWER PA email (Gore's REPOWER AMERICA):

The old ways of Washington have gotten us into enough trouble. That's why it's so refreshing when an elected leader takes a real stand against them.

Opponents in the Senate are already planning to play politics with clean energy, using procedural games to prevent a majority of Senators from passing clean energy and climate legislation.

But Senator Arlen Specter has called for an end to these petty tactics by announcing his support for cloture -- a motion that, if it passes, will require a full vote in the Senate as quickly as possible. Specter recently reaffirmed his support for strong clean energy legislation. This announcement shows that he is ready to go.
