Consumer borrowing way down.
Edited on Wed Dec-07-05 08:47 PM by screembloodymurder
Economist (smoking dope in their million dollar mansions) predicted + $5 billion; actual - $7.9 billion. I wonder how much the * administration pays these assholes to lie. Merry Christmas?

3. If you are buying this season
Buy gift cards of any denomination so people can use them for their needs now and into the next year! Not buying junk will set an example for business that real Americans "mean business" even if it means a depression and China buys the whole country!

4. I saw this coming.
With how the Fed has been raising interest rates lately. It's just starting to get too expensive to borrow.

5. I think some families have just run out of credit.
At least affordable credit. They are maxed out on their CCs, have taken all the equity loans they can and have car payments. There comes a time when credit becomes too costly if you have used it as you safety net for too long.
