A college Republican explains everything:
<snip> But though Republicans seem to be dropping the ball, one thing is certain: It still sucks more to be a liberal. <snip>

This is a nice exemplar of what passes for political discourse in many Republican circles.

most of the rw people i talk with treat politics like a damn game...you see how people get upset if there teams lose and what nots, and i see that same pattern with rw, and lw bases...its weird.

this as symbolic of political discourse, or that he is a journalism major and may contribute to the further degradation of our print media. I'm thinking the latter.

Given GOP heros, I'll take MM and CS any time.

9. Lets look at the GOP heroes:
Tom DeLay: indicted for campaign fraud and money laundering
Bill Frist: under investigation by SEC
George Bush: lowest approval ratings since Selection, lying about war, SS, terrorism, etc.
Dick Cheney: outting covert CIA agent for political smear
Pat Robertson: calling for assasination of foreign leaders
Karl Rove: under investigation by Federal Prsecutors for CIA leak
Scooter Libby: charged with perjury, OoJ, and giving false statements to authorities

I'll take a Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi any day.

7. The author is a typical Coulter-esque
attack clown, but does have one point:

"In the 2004 presidential election, Democrats chose a candidate whose only appealing quality was that he wasn't Bush."

More than a kernel of truth in that statement. Let's hope we don't make the same mistake again.

13. No way. Uh-uh.
It's just BS to say that Kerry's "only appealing quality was that he wasn't Bush."

Honestly, I can't believe anyone can agree with that point with a straight face. Kerry showed his stuff on the battlefield as a young man, and especially in the debates. He was outstanding there. And Kerry had a brilliant platform with great ideas for increasing healthcare and keeping jobs in this country.

What's sad is that this country is so freaking television based that a stupid cowboy cartoon character like GWB can even stand in the same freaking room with someone like John Kerry.

8. Glad to see my school paper is producing excellent Repub. drivel
The Alligator has really stocked up on the right-wing editorial writers. Kind of sad, because almost every one of their columns is about how Dems are bad, stupid or naive. They spew the RNC talking points and talk radio themes-o-the-day. Nothing constructive, uplifting, or educational. They won't look at the facts or address the issues. They are growing up to be good Rupublican lapdogs.

12. They're so full of themselves.
It's almost like their entire ideology is based on saying that we suck!

It's one thing to think someone sucks for something they DO, but they think we suck simply because of who we are ...

16. Funny
I love the part where we're living in a world in which liberalism is "increasingly irrelevent" and yet most of the world adheres to some form of liberalism. That right there is major league arrogance.

19. But libruls control everything too!
Especially the media :sarcasm:

We're irrelevent, and yet we're the first to be blamed for everything from the "moral decay" of Murkin culture to the insurgency in Iraq. Also, we somehow manage to control the government, despite the Right having control of all 3 branches, and soon the SCOTUS.

So take heart conservatives. Democrats will not capitalize on Republicans' current foibles because the closest thing liberals have to an ideological leader is Jon Stewart. The closest thing they have to a hero is either Michael Moore or Cindy Sheehan

I think that it goes to the heart of the conservative mindset; their almost OBSESSIVE need to be manipulated by the Right Wing.

I mean, he feels sorry because Liberals are not willing, nor able to engage in those tactics.

To these guys, the lies and deceptions are like Crack. They can't get enough of them.

When delusions are all you have to go on, it's pretty sad that you still depend upon them, even after you've realize that you're being manipulated.
