BIRTHER ALERT! New maj ldr of Missouri House of Representatives once filed birther lawsuit
Ed Brayton reports that the new Majority Leader of the Missouri House of Representatives, Timothy W. Jones (R-Eureka), once filed a federal lawsuit accusing Obama of being a secret Indonesian and ineligible to be President. Guess who represented Jones? None other than yours truly, ORLY TAITZ!

Just checked Google Maps, and Eureka is about 15 miles west of St. Louis. I wonder if Jones's lawsuit was known publicly before the Missouri Legislative elections? How will the people of his state react? But then again, Missouri's the home of Phyllis Schlafly's Eagle Forum, and John McCain barely won in Missouri.

1. And he is still a plaintiff
The Barnett v Obama lawsuit is on appeal in the Ninth Circuit and to my knowledge Jones is still on the list of plaintiffs. It is difficult to tell at times who Orly's plaintiffs are on this suit. They seemed to be added and removed somewhat randomly early in the case and sometimes without the plaintiffs knowledge. Recently, Orly posted a frantic message on her blog that he had lost the names and addresses of her plaintiffs "in her Yahoo" and would they please contact her. Yes, she actually kept legal files "in her Yahoo".
