Did anybody else catch Dan Senor making the fascist talkradio rounds?
Edited on Thu May-27-04 08:28 PM by suegeo
Did anybody catch that douche bag Dan Senor on the fascist talk radio shows earlier this week? I heard him on Medved and Hewitt, the day that Smirky gave his speech on the 5 joint strategy for Iraq.

Senor came on Medved for 5 to 10 minutes and talked about the Abu Gharib (AG) prison abuse/torture. Mr. Medved said that he (Medved) talked with a marine corp officer over the weekend. The marine told Medved that the AG prison story actually had a positive impact for the USA. The marine told Medved that the Arab and Iraqi people were in awe of our justice system, and it’s swiftness in finding and trying the abusers.

Senor agreed and said something like “Yeah, it’s funny”. The tool said that the AG abuse story ran on some Arab satellite news network. The Arab commentator on the network described the American justice system’s quick and vast response to the abuse, and the announcer said, “Why can’t the Arab justice authorities respond to Arab crimes as forcefully as the Americans?”

Senor said that the AG prison scandal had begun a useful period of reflection and introspection among Arabs. This Arab reflection on themselves was a good thing for the USA. The Arabs are now looking at the prison abuse story with something akin to awe of America, awe of the wonderful justice system of America/the coalition. The Arabs were especially impressed that Don Rumsfeld subjected himself to 7 hours of public testimony.

The douche bag went on to point out “interactions” between US soldiers and Iraqis via the prison abuse incidents were only 1 to 2 percent of the total interactions between Iraqis and US soldiers. The majority of the Iraqi-US solider contact (such as building schools, hospitals) far outweighs the Iraqi-US soldier prison abuse interaction.

Medved, a nut, later went on to describe the abuse as overblown by the media, that the whole thing was just sex photos, get over it, etc. When a caller said that the story was about more than photos and involved rape and murder, Medved split some major hairs. Medved said there was no rape, just sodomy. He said that rape was a personal act, and that sodomy was not personal. Therefore, in the warped mind of Medved, that made sodomy “less serious” than rape.

It’s been a long time since I listened (for any period of time) to AM talk radio. The massive pile of bullshit that the powers-that-be expect people to believe still floors me.

ON EDIT: Senor is a total tool. I except him to be re-incarnated in some more hideous form in a future Republican/neo-fascist regime.

2. That guy Dan Senor is weird....
He looks out of place, as if he belonged reporting porno instead of world affairs. I've never seen his resume. What do we know about him?

4. Swift American Justice
Just the grunts. No higher-ups are taking the fall.

Has anyone noticed that the vast majority of Gitmo prisoners haven't been charged with a crime?

We don't even know the names of most of the people in Abu Ghraib or the other Iraqi prisons. Many of the prisoners were "arrested by mistake", whatever that means. There is no swift justice for them.

Have we charged Saddam Hussein with any crimes? No. We're going to wait until we've pissed off all the Iraqis, and then we're going to deliver Saddam back to them.

How about the Anthrax killer. Any justice for him? Ken Lay? no? How about Rush Limbaugh? no? Well how about Halliburton? no? Osama Bin Ladin? Mullah Omar Mohammad? Hmmmm.

Tommy Chong? YES! Swift American Justice!
