New media "blogger" troll smears Jimmy Carter-we should demand apology
Edited on Wed Feb-16-05 11:53 AM by johnfunk
Here's the story from Matthew Yglesias:
the increasingly influential Power Line blog thinks "Jimmy Carter isn't just misguided or ill-informed. He's on the other side," I think that's clearly right. Jimmy Carter left office as one of the least-loved presidents ever, and you'd still be hard-pressed to find a liberal who'll mount a really full-throated defense of his tenure in office. But on the other side? Not some academic or blogger or activist type, but a veteran of the United States military and a former President of the United States. On the other side. A traitor. These are serious allegations, seriously demented.

I don't think it's at all unreasonable to say that Hindrocket owes Carter a serious apology.
"Hindrocket" is one John Hinderaker. You can learn a lot about him from the capsule bio here. It might be a good idea to get a hold of this regressive Claremont Institute proto-McCarthyite and demand that he publicly apologize.

1. There they go - they steal Roosevelt, Kennedy and leave us with Carter
I love Carter. I love Kennedy. I love Roosevelt.

But like I say - if they steal all of our totems - they own us. So fight back!!

3. This is more than mere hyperbole -- I _called_ him
This is not just hyperbole -- this is a smear. And it's time we grow a pair and FIGHT BACK.

I just called Hindracker Esq's office. The number's in his Powerline bio. Got what I assume to be his administration assistant. She was NOT happy about the call. Said, "I RESENT" having to take my call, offered to send me to voice mail. I told her that her feelings do not enter into the issue. She hung up on me before I could leave a message for Ass-rocket.

Maybe Hindrocker should hire a secretary who can take the heat!!

There is only one way to deal with McCarthyite slanderers like Ass-rocket: bring the fight to them. To their place of business. To their voice mails, to their e-mails, to their face. I've had enough of pink-tutu Daschle Democrats. They have to know that:
1) We DO put up a fight.
2) When they engage in this sort of character assassination, WE have every right to question THEIR patriotism!

4. I challenge him to a duel!
It's what we Georgians do :)

Seriously, what is the matter with people when they have to attack an 80 year old man.

Little pathetic piece of shit......you wanna pick on someone, fine. C'mon then - we'll go a couple of rounds. Nobody disparages the name of Jimmy Carter to me. NOBODY!

5. I hope you called his hapless administrative assistant
Maybe she'll take the hint: she works for an unethical, slanderous midget of a man.

Oh, and tell him that you're from "Buckhead's" home state -- and that he too should be subject to a Bar Association ethics investigation. Lawyers HATE that!

7. Kick! Better yet, 'kick' libel artist "Assrocket" by contacting him!
Drop him a line at the Powersmear Blog and tell him to apologize to President Carter.
