I just cancelled my cable TV today
...and sold my television. I did it purely out of protest, deciding that it is nothing more than an insult to my intelligence. After reading news on the internet, tv seems bland and a step or two behind. I guess I'll miss football a little bit, but I'll be more productive around the house on Sundays and I'll have more time to read.

I'm not suggesting that people follow suit, but if you've thought of doing something like this I thought you'd like to know you're not alone.

I DID IT.

I'm outta here for tonight.

Peace.

5. Rock on, Brother!!
The TV cabinet looks funny with no tv in it. I'll probably get rid of it as well.

9. You could alway put a tropical aquarium in it!
Fish are smarter than most of the talking heads on the teevee, anyway.

6. I looked at the weblink....
I don't care for reality television. But hey, if YOU enjoy it, go for it. Like I said, it was a personal decision. I'm not trying to get others to give up tv, just encouraging people who have thought about doing it.

Peace!!

10. Yeah...
I have a 12 year old 13 incher in the attic; I may pull it out for DVDs. It's been nice just listening to classical music on Public Radio this week. Maybe I'll try a DVD on my computer...ever try that? I need it in stereo....hmmmm....I see a hack job coming up this weekend or next.

I haven't watched TV for years. I read info on the internet. I don't miss that biased tool of crap! Not only political, but the heartless representation of the shows that command the airwaves...ew!
