Thousands Say "Impeach Bush!"
Subject: Thousands Say "Impeach Bush!"
Date: wed, 1 oct 2003 16:04:11 -0400

Dear VoteToImpeach Member,

The response from VoteToImpeach members to the upcoming mass demonstration in Washington DC on October 25 has topped all expectations. The demonstration, which will call for an end to the occupation of Iraq, will include thousands and thousands of people carrying "Impeach Bush Now" signs and banners as they surround the White House that day.

Local "Impeach Bush" committees from around the country are organizing buses and car caravans to come to the October 25 demonstration. In some ways, the demonstration has already started. Thousands took to the streets in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York and other cities in the United States this past week. The media picked up on the fact that so many people were carrying "Impeach Bush" signs. The September 25-28 anti-war demonstrations also took place in 45 countries in a magnificent display of global coordination.

100,000 marched in London and chanted "Bush and Blair Must Go!" Blair's approval rating is now at 30 percent, an all-time low Bush's approval rating is now 49% down from 70% six months ago! Signs and posters calling for Bush's impeachment were seen not only in London but also in large demonstrations that took place in Madrid, Barcelona, Athens, Istanbul and in cities around the world.

We are convinced that the impeachment movement's success will come from the groundswell from below. Don't wait for politicians to take the lead. Congress, in spite of the growing public exposé of Bush's lies and crimes, is so far unwilling to really stand up to the administration. Given Bush's slipping political support, and the nearly daily revelations of the administrations lies and criminal conduct, one would expect congressional officials to find their backbone and stand up for the people against the Bush gang. If they won't act, the people must!

Take one example from today's newspapers and it is impossible not to conclude that the people must go back into the streets. The Democratic and Republican members of Congress are actually preparing to provide more than the $87 billion Bush requested for the illegal occupation of Iraq. The Washington Post reported that story today, at the same time running as a banner story on its front page that 5.5 percent more Americans are without health insurance in just the last year alone.

That's right, the number of Americans without health insurance jumped to 43.6 million in the last year, the largest single increase in the last decade. Coupled with the report last week about the shocking rise in domestic poverty and the loss of nearly 3 million jobs since 2001, today's report on the steep increase in the number of people without healthcare shines a bright light on the some of the domestic human toll caused by the catastrophic and criminal actions and policies of the Bush administration. If politicians aren't ready to act with courage they will soon hear from millions of Americans who are telling them in no uncertain terms: You have a constitutional mandate to pursue impeachment.

We are now in the home stretch for the October 25 demonstration. The demonstration will begin on the Washington Monument grounds at 11 am. We will have "Impeach Bush" signs, banners, buttons and leaflets at dispatch centers around the assembly site. Downloadable leaflets and signs will be available on the VoteToImpeach.org website prior to the demonstration (details will be available in future messages).

Funds are urgently needed to make this demonstration and the VoteToImpeach presence as strong as possible. Printing costs for leaflets, posters, signs, bumper stickers and buttons, as well as bus transportation costs, are large. If you would like to support this mobilization with a contribution, click here now to make an online donation or write a check.

The tide is turning. VoteToImpeach members should be proud of the role we have played in changing the political climate in the United States. But we must continue this effort until the president and other high officials are held accountable, using the mechanism provided by the Constitution, for the crimes committed in the past two years. Please consider telling one more person about the VoteToImpeach website and encouraging that person to vote and to become a member of our movement.

1. BUT WAIT!!!
I thought he was popular and we all just loved our president! He brought honor and integrity back to the White House. He's the man who we will be able to look at and say "We're PROUD of our president!".

By the way, I also look just like Robert Redford, only cuter. Jean Claude Van Damme should win an Oscar! Porno is really art! There is no global warming. bush really won! Elvis didn't die, he just went home!

All kidding aside, I'd love to see this bastard Impeached, but I don't see it happening with the a**h*l* congress we have now. I think we're going to have to get rid of him the same way we got rid of his father.

Thanks for the post!

2. They'll NEVER NEVER NEVER....
Let themselves lose. If the real stories about their admin, ever got out they'd be shot for treason. They'll pull some tricks, there will be another 'attack', something. Don't forget, they can 'postpone' elections on national security grounds. Would they dare? Of course, because they know that there is a fairly large ARMED segment of the population that will support any decision through violence and intimidation of any of us who oppose the 'coup'. Crazy? I FERVENTLY hope so.

4. I hope there's no confusion here.
The above email was received by me. Other than that, I have no actual connection with that VoteToImpeach group, other than wearing an "Impeach Bush" button. In Seattle at any rate, the response has been overwhelmingly FAVORABLE. Even bus-drivers and check-out clerks have volunteered their approval.

My own feeling is that there a LOT of Americans, and largely mainstream, who are just a hairsbreadth of openly expressing their opposition to that Unelected Crime Family. All it takes is something like this ... openly flashing this sort of symbol. Yes, actually IMPEACHING that 12" (lifesized!) Action Figure may be a pipedream, but it's a highly effective SYMBOL.

Here's the website: http://votetoimpeach.org/ Check it out and consider tossing a few bucks into the tambourine.

5. Regretably, it needs to be 'Millions say "Impeach Bush"'
As long as The Establishment is content with him, nothing will happen.
