John Conyers & Donna Edwards push legislation to overturn Citizens United ruling
Just stumbled across this, I figured you folks would want to know about it!

The sooner the Citizens United ruling goes away the better...Stephen Harper seems to follow step by step what the Conservatives in the U.S. do, once a policy is proven.

I do NOT want the same crap happening in my own country!

A pair of House Democrats introduced legislation Tuesday to overturn the Supreme Court’s 2010 Citizens United ruling that freed corporations to spend unlimited money on elections.

Sponsored by Reps. John Conyers (Mich.), senior Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, and Donna Edwards (D-Md.), the proposal would amend the Constitution to empower Congress and the states to limit corporate spending on political activities.

“Last year, the Supreme Court overturned decades of law and declared open season on our democracy,” Conyers said in a news release. “It is individual voters who should determine the future of this nation, not corporate money.”

1. Should be priority #1.
Without overturning Citizens United, nothing else will ever get fixed.

2. K&R Darn right it should be individual voters and not corporate money that determine the future
of this nation... During our recall election in Wisconsin, money was being helicoptered in... It's not clear if it was a pay off for Kathy Nicolas, but an investigation into election fraud just might provide some answers....

3. About that: What's going on in WI re the FBI raid?
Does it have anything to do with election fraud/Nicolas? Inquiring minds ... hope the investigation doesn't just dry up and go away ...
