Students Protest Gas Prices (Scranton PA)

Some Scranton students followed through with what they said they were going to do Wednesday: not drive to school to protest high gasoline prices.

A group of protesters gathered outside Scranton High School before classes. They are known as Students Against Gas Gouging and they did not drive to school to fight prices at the pump.

Some of the students said they believe their actions will make a difference. "I think so if we get enough people to do it. I mean it promotes the idea that one person does have a voice and one person had that voice, now there's 25. With 25 voices you never know what that could reach,"said protestor Christina Herne. <snip>

1. I hate to be cynical but I doubt that even half of them actually pay for

their gas. Since they are all HS students its more than likely it mommy or daddys money that lets them fill up their gas tank.

2. Maybe. But what matter? Somebody ought to be making noise ..
