Mac Trojan horse is semi-bogus
Edited on Sat Apr-10-04 12:24 PM by Atman
The th is real...but it appears to have been written by virus protection software maker Intego as a demonstration of a vulnerability (and to move product, no doubt). I say "semi-bogus" because it is a real issue, there just aren't any real examples of it "in the wild." Intego wrote it and did its press releases without informing Apple. Knowing Apple's tendency to go after people who screw with them, I'd guess Intego is not going to be an happy Apple vendor for long!

So, don't freak, just be cautious. It is actually a very common weakness of both Mac and Win platforms, and has been around on Macs' since the late eighties. BFD.

Press releases, updates, etc.
