2. These pics always make me think

of the two giraffes they had at the Houston zoo when I was a kid: Hi-C & Hi-Cecil

3. I went to Africa once

(we are NOT rich, we just used all our frequent flyer miles and savings). My favorite animals were the giraffes. Driving down the highway you could see them along the road just watching the cars, kind of like cows do here. The looked so curious. We went to the Giraffe House where you go upstairs and hand-feed the giraffes. There's someplace in the States you can do that, too. Their eyes and tongues are so big and their eyelashes are so long! They were gentle and patient. The other thing that just knocked me out was watching a herd of them running. They gallop and, because they're so big, they need a lot of space. So that's something you can't see in a zoo.
