SyFy watchers: ready for Eureka, Warehouse 13 and the new Alphas tonight?
Starting at 8 - Eureka; 9 - W13; 10-11:30 - Alphas

I have to say, I really don't like W13, Claudia irritates the daylights out of me and the special effects have been super-crappy. But I'll give it a try, ever hopeful that they'll do something interesting.

Eureka is usually ok, though again, missed opportunities and very formulaic with issue resolution.

Alphas - well, I love David Strathairn (he'll always be Whistler to me from Sneakers) so I dare to hope it'll be good.

Anyway, happy viewing! :hi:

1. Looking forward to W13. I love Claudia. She's everything I want to be.
So I guess we probably wouldn't get along too well :) I'm with you about the special effects though.

6. yeah, I'll definitely give it time ... because I like science fiction shows.
But - this just didn't really impress me. My husband left halfway through. x(

7. I liked it
I can't believe I said that. I don't usually like the new shows but this one I did. It was plausible, good acting, good actors. I think I'll watch a few more.

I taped Warehouse 13. Not my favorite either but it's interesting enough to keep me watching.

8. I remember the good ol days of the sci-fi channel with Farscape and The Invisible Man
and even Battlestar and Caprica - but these days it is a sad, pale version of its former self. a real shame. can't say i watch anything on there anymore.

they had a choice between taking the excellent mini-series The Lost Room to series or Warehouse 13. they chose poorly.

11. WTF??? Caprica is cancelled???
I liked Zoe

It was the only series worth watching, slick production...well, besides The Walking Dead

...and AMC cancelled that too!? That really sucks. Best zombie killing series of all time.

15. Yeah I was soooo disappointed when they cancelled Caprica - by far their best show
The final ep of Caprica had an epic ending showing where the show would have gone over the next year - really powerful. It joins the ranks of shows like Odyssey 5, The Adventures of Brisco County Jr, and Firefly in the one season of awesomeness category. (Check out Odyssey 5 if you haven't already - some of the best sci-fi you will ever see - and stars Peter Weller.)

Yeah I saw your other post and indeed The Walking Dead is returning for another season this fall - 13 episodes this time instead of just 6. Right now I think the best sci-fi on TV is not on the Syfy channel which only cares about money - NOT quality sci-fi anymore. Doctor Who and Torchwood are ruling the sci-fi universe right now IMO.

16. I agree 100%. Doctor Who on BBC America and Torchwood on Starz are the best sci-fi these days IMO
Not surprising they aren't on the "Syfy" channel which only gives a shit about money - NOT quality sci-fi.

And I love Eureka too! I'm so glad the shows are back for new seasons!!

Didn't get a chance to check out Alphas because I had to get up early today, but I'm sure it will be repeated during the week & available On Demand.

19. What kinds of shows would you like to see
on SYFY?

Do you like "non-fiction" science shows? Or do you just want more Scifi?

If you were the programmer, what kind of show would you do?

Me? I like Science Fiction!! Though I do like well-done "Science". I lurves me some Neil deGrasse Tyson & Michio Kaku . . .
